About Enchanted Fig:

Enchanted Fig began the winter of 2010, one month after I moved back to California. I had just finished a chapbook of poetry for a creative thesis and had a baby, and I needed a wholly different project to keep me writing and focused without too much pressure.

About Amanda Hawkins:

I am a native Californian, but I spent an edibly transformative five-year stint in the warmest corner of Canada, rock-a-by-babied by Vancouver mountains. I have two children, an estranged cat, and a beloved who understands that sometimes baking a frangipane tart is more important than making dinner.

My current forays in the publishing world are not confined to food. You may find my writing in  CRUX, The Yolo Crow, Edible Sacramento, Christianity and Literature, and Watershed Review.
